Boss Babes & Nonprofits

Babe [beyb] n.: A person who assumes positive intent, goes out of their way to uplift others and focuses their personal energy on growing what is good in the world.

Paige enjoys uplifting other women by donating this past year to nonprofit organizations such as YWCA & SheJumps. YWCA Re-new is a program located in Nashville and Middle TN with a mission to help by “Empowering survivors of domestic violence by giving them a beautifully furnished home and a new beginning. In addition to furniture donations, dedicated volunteers provide a pantry full of food and stock refrigerator staples prior to the move-in date at each Re-New apartment”. At YWCA there is another program of Dress for Success that strives to “provide professional clothing, a network of support, and career developments tools to empower women to succeed”.

Lastly, there is SheJumps which focuses on young women. “Inspiring people to jump beyond their limitations, we help women and girls take risks in the outdoors to enable them to break through fears and internal/external barriers in life so they can grow to their full potential.” Biking is one of the activities performed at SheJumps, which is held special to Paige’s heart as she too enjoys biking in her free time!

Strive to be a ‘Boss Babe’

Essentially, a ‘Boss Babe’ is a confident, capable woman that is empowered to cultivate what’s good in themselves and those around them. How can one achieve this? By pursuing their ambitions while inspiring others with their work ethic and outstanding work they produce! So, here’s to all babes around and remember:

BE CONFIDENT ~ BE COMFORTABLE IN YOUR OWN SKIN ~ LIFT OTHERS UP

PS- It’s our very own Boss Babe’s Birthday this week!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAIGE

Meet our Newest Designer

It is my pleasure to introduce our newest assistant interior designer, Chelsea Best. We are so excited to have her as a part of our team and look forward to all of the creativity she brings to our projects!

Chelsea

Chelsea, an Illinois native turned Nashville, graduated from O'More College of Design in 2021 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in interior design. Before joining the team, she worked at a home retail store helping with furniture and special cabinet orders and is now making her debut in the design world.

The realm of design was always at heart for Chelsea at a young age but grew to a passion later when she realized the intricacy that went into a space to be brought to life. Anything from fun colors and bold prints, to a unique accessory piece to add as a hidden gem to start conversations. Though she has an appreciation for many design styles, Art Deco enchants her the most. From the striking balance of colors and patterns used, to the movement created within the spaces, it all sparks joy to Chelsea.

When not working, she spends her time running around with her Aussie dog Paisley, possibly thrift shopping to find some unique clothes and home décor or can be found going out for dinner and a movie with friends.

Fabric: Our Design Foundation

Fabric is our design foundation. Its color, texture, and functionality is the ultimate physical manifestation of creativity. We use fabric as the core material to really connect and evolve with our clients. When designing a space, each fabric should be unique enough for its designated room so that each space feels special and full of personality. We ask our client’s to fall in love with a BOLD print or a solid color to kick off our design process.

Prints vs. Solids

I hear all the time from client’s who are not ready to commit to a bold print because they do not know how to accent it in their home. I obviously LOVE to layer prints to create depth & interest in a space. Mixing prints and textures is my signature & I am definitely not afraid of using color. Below is how I incorporate prints and solids in my own home, but it all started from falling in love with one print!

What print inspires you the most to use in your home?
